What do customers say?

Regulars praise the breakfast, sauce selection, and staff speed, with many finding the hickory smoke and fair pricing consistent over decades. Recent visits tell a different story: meat dries out, portions shrink, and the space shows age and neglect, leaving some questioning whether the food quality has shifted alongside the rising menu costs.

Jimmy Bear's BBQ

4.4(1463)✓ Google-verified

Jimmy Bear's BBQ draws crowds for catered events and comedy shows, though the dining experience has been volatile. Food quality swings wildly-reviewers praise sauces and sampler portions but report bland pulled pork, dry brisket with no smoke ring, and poorly maintained side dishes. One recent visit described filthy conditions, with sticky floors and unwashed tables. Service ranges from attentive (staff named Victoria and Vinny) to indifferent, and pricing consistently frustrates diners relative to what they receive.

Smokey's Texas BBQ

4.1(14)✓ Google-verified

Smokey's Texas BBQ operates as a catering and pre-order business from Kissimmee, not a walk-in restaurant. Reviewers rave about juicy, tender brisket and ribs smoked with care, with strong praise for authentic Texas-style meat and sides like homemade mac and cheese. Some earlier reviewers were confused when directed to a residential address, but recent catering clients confirm the operation is legitimate and well-organized for events.

Half the visits bring praise for attentive staff and satisfying meals with kids, while the other half report cold food, dirty facilities, and checkout disputes. The buffet appeals to families seeking variety and value on good days, but cleanliness and consistency remain serious watch-outs.
