All five-star reviews highlight exceptional rubs, sauce, and smoked meats. Reviewers praise owners Chris and Phil as genuine, supportive local business operators who deliver across the Orlando area. Evidence is limited by a small review pool.
Kenny's draws fans for ribs that sometimes hit perfectly tender and smoky, pulled pork sandwiches praised as excellent, and staff who recognize regulars and move orders quickly. Recent visits paint a troubling picture: burnt or dry ribs served with minimal meat, bread forgotten, fries disputed, and prices ($14-20 per plate) that feel steep given inconsistent execution. A Texan reviewer placed their BBQ above a Texas Monthly top-ten contender, yet multiple guests from the past year report the same plate-throwing disappointment. The operation runs three smokers and stays open late weekends, but quality swings sharply enough that loyal customers now hesitate to return. The food truck format operates in a fenced lot near Fairvilla Road. Smoked chicken and wings draw separate praise. Sauce variety (honey mustard, spicy mustard-based, standard BBQ) is a genuine strength. The core tension: when ribs are done right, reviewers rave; when they're not, the experience feels like a waste.
Most visits deliver satisfying food at reasonable prices with staff who go out of their way to help. Jerkman's strongest asset is its people: named staff like Neecy and TT create a welcoming atmosphere and get orders right. That said, some customers hit delays and mix-ups; checking your order before leaving is worth the habit.
